Drifter data were obtained courtesy of Prof. R. H. Weisberg and the USF Ocean Circulation Group for the purpose of tracking the 2012 red tide bloom observed on the West Florida Shelf. The deployments were courtesy of the College of Marine Science, University of South Florida, Center for Prediction of Red Tide (CPR) co-directed by Profs. R. H. Weisberg and J.J. Walsh, with assistance from the Florida Water Research Institute and the Mote Marine Laboratory.
