These products were originally developed by Drs. Jyotika Virmani & Robert H. Weisberg to assess hurricane activities in the Gulf of Mexico and the North Atlantic Ocean. The sea surface temperature, surface winds and sea level pressure data are downloaded from the NCEP/NCAR Reanalysis Derived Products provided by the NOAA/OAR/ESRL PSD, Boulder, Colorado, USA.
