Daily averaged surface currents (arrows) are superimposed with daily averaged sea surface height (SSH, color contours, units in cm) in the Gulf of Mexico. These are output from Global HYCOM, i.e., GOFS 3.1: HYCOM + NCODA Global 1/12 Degree Analysis, provided by the HYCOM Consortium. These data are used to provide open boudary forcing for the West Florida Coastal Oean Model (WFCOM), maintained by the Ocean Circulation Lab (OCL) at University of South Florida.
