Yonggang Liu, Ph.D.

My research interests include physical oceanography in coastal oceans and novel data analysis methods in meteorology and oceanography. My current work is focused on West Florida Shelf, aiming to understand its ocean circulation dynamics and processes of air-sea interactions. Past research activities include observational studies of ocean circulation in the Asian marginal seas (East China Sea, South China Sea, NW Pacific east of Ryukyu & Taiwan Islands) and numerical modeling of coastal ocean circulation in the NE Pacific (Columbia River plume).
